General terms and conditions

Introductory Provisions

  1. These general terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") apply to accommodation as well as all services provided by the operator of the accommodation facility Penzión Grand.
  2. The guest is advised in their own interest to familiarize themselves with these GTC before making a reservation. The operator of the accommodation facility Penzión Grand reserves the right to unilaterally change these GTC, with the change becoming effective from the day they are published on the operator's website www.penziongrand.sk. By confirming the reservation, the guest expressly and unreservedly agrees to the GTC of the accommodation facility operator. If the guest does not agree with some provisions of these GTC, the operator of the accommodation facility requests that they do not use the services of the accommodation facility operator.

Reservations, Contracts, and Services Provided by the Operator

  1. Reservations can be made by phone, email, through the reservation system on www.penziongrand.sk, the portal www.booking.com, or in person at the accommodation facility.
  2. In the case of phone and email reservations, the accommodation facility will send a reservation offer to the email provided by the client. A contract between the guest and the accommodation facility is created by the guest paying the reservation fee/deposit in favor of the accommodation facility. An oral agreement or oral confirmation of the reservation without payment of the deposit does not constitute a contract.
  3. Every accommodated guest is obliged to comply with the Operating Rules of the accommodation facility as well as the GTC of the accommodation facility, and by making a reservation, the guest agrees that they have familiarized themselves with the accommodation rules and the GTC of the accommodation facility and fully agree with them.
  4. If it is not excluded by the nature of the matter, the provisions of this article of the GTC also apply to the accommodation conditions of groups, with the accommodated guest and the person who made the group reservation being jointly and severally liable for obligations towards the accommodation facility and complying with the Operating Rules of the accommodation facility during the stay.

Payment Terms and Prices

  1. For accommodation and provided services, the guest is obliged to pay the price in accordance with the valid price list of the accommodation facility. A guest who orders a stay verbally/over the phone will pay a reservation fee for the stay of 50%. The guest is obliged to pay the remaining amount for the stay upon arrival.
  2. The current prices of the accommodation facility for the provided rooms are available on the accommodation facility's website www.penziongrand.sk.
  3. The accommodation facility, as the service provider, has the right to change the published prices, which become valid upon publication on the accommodation facility's website.
  4. If the advance payment for the ordered service is not paid by the guest, no accommodation contract is created between the guest and the accommodation facility.

Cancellation Policy

  1. The accommodation facility is entitled to charge cancellation fees for pre-booked accommodation if the guest cancels their stay, even partially. The accommodation facility accepts cancellation notifications only in written form. The accommodation facility is entitled to charge for the cancellation even if the guest does not notify the cancellation and does not show up for the stay. The accommodation facility charges cancellation fees according to the following rules:
    1. more than 10 days before the stay without charge,
    2. 10 days to 3 days before the stay 50% of the accommodation price,
    3. 2 days to the day of arrival 100% of the price.

Data Protection

  1. The operator of Penzión Grand is the company Penzión Grand BB s. r. o., located at Horná 32, 974 01 Banská Bystrica, IČO: 56 167 024 (hereinafter referred to as Penzión Grand BB s. r. o.) processes personal data in accordance with the generally binding legal regulations of the Slovak Republic, especially in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Z.z. on the protection of personal data.
  2. Penzión Grand BB s. r. o. processes personal data of guests for the purpose of reservation in the operator's accommodation facility and monitoring their use. Based on Act No. 108/2018 Z.z., amending and supplementing Act No. 404/2011 Z.z. on the residence of foreigners and on changes and amendments to some laws, and Act No. 253/1998 Z.z. on reporting the residence of citizens of the Slovak Republic and the register of residents of the Slovak Republic, personal data of guests are processed without the consent of the data subject. Contact details, especially phone number, email address, co-accommodated persons, and other provided personal data are processed only with the consent of the data subject, who can request their correction or deletion at any time.
  3. The guest agrees to the management, processing, and storage of their personal data in the company Penzión Grand BB s. r. o. Providing data is voluntary and without consequences, with the understanding that this data may be processed for any needs of the above-mentioned company in accordance with Act No. 428/2002 Z.z. on the protection of personal data. The consent is given for an indefinite period according to § 20 par. 3 of the cited act and can be withdrawn in writing at any time.
  4. These GTC and legal relationships arising from them are governed by the legal order of the Slovak Republic.
  5. By confirming the reservation, the guest expresses their consent to these GTC and undertakes to comply with them. The operator of the accommodation facility reserves the right to change these GTC. The obligation to notify the change of the GTC in writing is fulfilled by placing the changed GTC on the website of the accommodation facility operator.
  6. These GTC come into effect on 01.07.2024
